Just looking for feedback and ideas for a bigger promotion than I'm used to.
The intention will be to increase newsletter sign-up, increase sales and integrate the competition into an adult community.
I want to offer a top of the line adult toy as a prize but I can't think of the best way to create audience participation.
The instructions for the competition will be behind a sign-up page, so that solves the goal of newsletter sign-up, which will also increase my sales through that marketing avenue. I'm hoping advertising the competition will also increase traffic and sales.
My main stumbling block is creating a competition for members of an exclusively male adult community. I was thinking an adult photo-based contest, for community members to vote on.
The idea would be that members of the community would follow the link to my site and sign up to the newsletter to gain access to the competition details.
They would then submit their entry on the community site for other members to see, and I would then select the finalists.
I would add the finalists to a page on my site for the members to vote on.
The entry with the highest votes is then the winner and gets the prize.
I then intend to offer all the participants another item at a knock-down price.
Some feedback from others who have experience with promotions of this nature would be great. Do you think it sounds like a good contest? Beneficial to both the community and my site?
