Question about No Follows

I`m not too sure this is the most appropriAte folder for this topic, but here goes.

Is there any simple way of finding out if the pages on my site are `no follow` at all? I don`t think the majority are, certainly not my links pages, but I`d just like to know how to check.

Also, how can I tell whether those who provide backlinks to my site are `no follows` or not. If they are then their value is much less, especially if they are reciprocals.

Treat me gently, I`m a muppet where techie stuff is concerned. :surrender:

For your own pages - make sure there is no meta tag for robots "nofollow".

Regarding links from external sites - "nofollow" attribute removes any value from SE point of view. This link will be considered nothing more than a reference and will not help you with SERPs.

Easiest way to find out if link is "nofollowed" - right click on it and look in properties. You will see "Relation: nofollow" if it's there...

Ok, thanks. Of those I`ve just checked all are showing as just "Link Properties: Address" and below that "Will open in: new window" and on some in addition it shows Miscellaneous info.

None so far show the "nofollow" in Properties, which is pleasing.
