When you are using HTTPS you make the links // <without a schema your HTTP request will follow the schema of your page --(HTTPS|HTTP) as is the case. Hopefully the remote file is sent in the schema's request ->HTTPS usually

You want the file sent HTTPS so the page does not show a security error ...
