overselling is a big problem lately, but just because a host oversells, doesnt mean its a bad thing, if they can manage and do it correctly, look at hostgator for example

I use go daddy for hosting but they are a bit expansive...use coupons when ordering hosting.

If you concern is overselling then look for a host who provides dedicated hosting services. It will cost you more per account but it will allow your site to run without fear of overselling.
