Schema Implementation

When your site is indexed, it is returned in search engine results. When you use schema markup, some content gets indexed and returned differently.

You see, with schema markup markup you are telling the search engine what that content means. So, if the word “T J Tutor” appears on an article, search engines see it and produce a SERP entry with “T J Tutor.” For schema markup, I put some schema markup to work around the name “T J Tutor,” That tells the search engine that “T J Tutor” is the author, not just a couple of words or a name. This results in the search engine displaying better information for the user who was searching for “T J Tutor.”

Schema.org explains it this way:

Most webmasters are familiar with HTML tags on their pages. Usually, HTML tags tell the browser how to display the information included in the tag. For example, <h1>Avatar</h1> tells the browser to display the text string “Avatar” in a heading 1 format. However, the HTML tag doesn’t give any information about what that text string means - “Avatar” could refer to the hugely successful 3D movie, or it could refer to a type of profile picture—and this can make it more difficult for search engines to intelligently display relevant content to a user.
