What is this field for "Send Trackbacks to (Separate multiple URLs with spaces)" when you create a post. What kind of url would you put in there?

Neither. You enter the link to the other page followed by /trackback (usually).

If you publish a post referring to another site or page or article, in the trackback part you add "http://www.somesite.com/sompage.php/trackback".

The person owning the other blog (or forum or other site with RSS feeds) gets a notification that you have linked to them. If they like what you've written they may well link back to you. It's like a free link.
