What do you think about the controversy about £100,000 donated to perter Hain campaign for Labour deputy leader contest he forget to mention to the appropriate authorities, do you think he should resign over the matter?

The amusing thing isn`t he the Minister for Works & Pensions? Ironic that if someone tries to cheat on their benefits claims they`d have the book thrown at them.

Same old...one rule for one blah blah!

I think if one looks at the politicians too closely, things are not as clean as it seems, when Tories were banging on about this too much, Labour spin doctores dished some dirt on the shadow chancellor,he had some donations of about £500,000 which was not declared where it should be declared as well.

Firstly I have to state that Peter Hain (Minister for work and pensions and secretary of state for wales) is my neighbour so I am obviously a little biased :)

Ok what happened here? Well it appears that his campaign failed to register donations on time. THAT is not for me the issue, what I have a serious problem with is that a large chunk of money has been donated to the campaign by a think tank based in cardiff. Again, not a problem with that either other than the fact it has no employees, and has NEVER produced any papers on any subjects. It appears to be a copperplate company set up with or without Peter's knowledge, purely to supply funding for his campaign. I do have SERIOUS issues with this.

Finally I think it is important to know that most of these donations came in AFTER the date they had to be registered, they came in as the campaign team went into a serious overspend situation.

So it is not as cut and dried as it appears, but unfortunately I think he should resign.

My problem is Temi, that he is either dishonest (which I believe he is not), OR he has run an incompetent campaign and allowed his team to work incompetently. How can someone with that behind them hold such a powerful position (I am dead if he ever reads this LOL) My daughter will be blackballed from the ballet school she attends run by his sons wife Paula.

Politicians never say they were wrong, I'm sorry, as they think it makes them look weak. IF only they would get past that, I may have more faith in politicians again as they just look like powerhungry monsters who totally do not represent my views.

You can say that again, Blair and Bush still do not admin Saddam does not have weapons of mass destruction.

I voted 'yes' as I think he should resign.

MPs know about their budgets and what goes where but he failed to declare it.

There is far too much of this going on and what ever faith I had about Labour is going fast.

I like upfront and honest people. That isn't too hard to ask for is it?
