If you wish to have good amount of visitors on your website to make a community, I would suggest you to keep your website simple so that even a new user can use your website very easily. It is not important to add many features on the website as some of the visitors can find it difficult to use your website and hence it is important to have limited and useful features on your website so that every visitor likes it
