I've been part of many forums before. From my observation, most forums usually have social chat on the front page.
So the first time I came here, and I saw that type of thing on the front page of this forum, I presumed it was a social chat but I didn't get it.
I got confused because I couldn't see any textbox where I could type something and chat with the people.
I was only seeing names and texts. It took me a while to realize that it was not a social chat but an update of latest posts from people, which I realized later that it was even much more helpful to me than the social chat on the front pages.
This is the first forum I noticed that feature and I have liked it so far.
