Social Media requires tedious planning, daring creativity, and obsessive execution.

  • Lack of planning? If you're not trying to get anywhere specific, you'll probably achieve that.
  • Timid creatively? We're all busy, so if you're boring, you get zero attention.
  • Poor execution? You could endanger relationships with existing customers. Social media can hurt you, too

I'll make a quick point here. I like FB a whole lot more than Twitter. Sure, there's spammers on both sites, but it seems more prevelent with Twitter.

Seems like once a person starts following you on Twitter, in return (sometimes out of obligation), you follow them - finding out they're spamming 10 hours a day. That's when you give them the boot.

FB - seems more controlled. ppl are asking you to be friends and you have that choice to say yes or no.

I totally agree with you, twitter really lacks many things, not only its privacy policy, but also its security measures, it was hacked by Irani hackers once before.
On the contrary, Facebook is far away better in this, especially with its new options added, like controling who can see this specifc post.
 
The whole social marketing thing makes my head spin, but it's a must-do these days if you want to get anywhere. So many ppl just play games with it.
