The Basics of Page Speed

What tools do you use for speed tests? I personally just use googles audit tool. Pretty good all-rounder, points out render-blocking *which is usually the main contributor to page load time being bogged down* as well as showing which images can be resized and potentially minified.

Also, I'm currious what you think are the most important factors when it comes to page speed?

Cool articles by the way, take a while to read but they go into pretty awesome detail.

It actually refers to the time a visitor has to wait until your page is completely loaded. On average, a page load for e-commerce website takes 7 seconds meanwhile the ideal load time is around 3 seconds or less.
What can lower your page speed:
Too large images
Too many ads
Your theme
Widgets
Double-barreled code
Tools to improve page speed:
Page speed Insight
Webpage test
YSlow
OnCrawl
YUI Compressor

And I am really getting pissed off with the slow ass loading e-commerce site I am sending paid for traffic to

I can see their slow ass website load-time is costing a 47% loss rate on my paid traffic.

My landing site loads (popunder) in 800ms to 1:20 s depending on device with a fresh cache! It ain't me "bro" ...

Things that cause low page speed is:
1. Heavy code
2. Large images
3. More plugins and themes
To improve page speed follow these:
1. Minify code
2. Fewer CSS files
3. Genuine Content
4. Exact images... etc

To increase page load speed you need to add few CSS & Bootstrap files that can cover all the basic designs, make sure that the image you are using should not be much larger, and make your website responsive.

Use only font style at max and make sure other font files are not loading with the page.
Optimize your images.
Use jpg or jpeg instead of PNG where possible.
Clear all the unnecessary WordPress bloat like unused plugins.
Must use a caching plugin.
Use cloud server if possible.
