Finally a doctor in the house!

Oké, not a real doctor, but they say I do magic with data feeds.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, living close to the German border.
Active in IM for over 20 years and the last 10 years I specialist myself in processing data feeds.

So if you have any questions about feeds, just ask me.

Besides that, I'm from 1971, have a bunch of kids, love fast cars and traveling. Accept flying, I hate it.

Well, I hope so, I have a company in processing data for eCommerce and affiliate partners. So I hope that qualify's me a little about knowing data. And yes I love data too, although it doesn't really work in a bar as a pick-up line I noticed.

You missed XML, a lot of datafeeds from suppliers are in XML as well.

xml is a waste of space IMO

I agree with you there, but as long as millions of companies still make XML feeds for their clients to use, I process them. But they are old, heavy and for many people almost unreadable.

You missed XML, a lot of datafeeds from suppliers are in XML as well.

If the XML is compliant (not nested too deep):

$xml = simplexml_load_string($xml_string);
$json = json_encode($xml);
$array = json_decode($json,TRUE);
