you can actually increase traffic of your website with the following:

1. join some forums and post thread and be participative to get the trust of the public.
2. i think squidoo is a good program that will help you to advertise your blog to its member. (it has thousands of member so if they like ur lenes then you will get your traffic)
3. Join! some blog directories u can store your blogs or website there but dont u worry about the traffic it is a search engine also..
