Tracking Software

Hello All,

I am thinking of writing a simple affiliate tracking system for (landing page and post back)

Before I begin development I have few questions for my fellow Dojo members.

I know there are many software out there already for tracking, so my first few questions will determine if I should create a tracking software.

1. Would you consider a new tracking software? If so what are the reasons?
2. Would you want to host the software?
3. Would you want to have it hosted for you ?
4. What type of support would you required if you were to pay for the software?
5. What features are important to you?
6. What are you willing to pay for the software? Monthly and yearly ?

Please leave your comments and opinion on this... I am open for any suggestions.

Also if you have a better idea of a software that would benefit you and other affiliate marketers let me know.

1. Improved and faster UI, make it easier to sort through data.
2. I would not want to host it unless a sufficient speed was reached.
3. Yes, preferably.
4. Preferably chat support.
5. Speed, manageability and how the data is presented.
6. Depends on how much it differs from the competition, but if it was perfect maybe between $100-250 per month.
