Has anybody used traffic exchanges too promote their site or affiliate link. If so what are your experiences.
I've only ever got low quality traffic that doesn't provide leads with high bounce rates.
Hi!
I've met a lot of clients who tried to buy traffic and send to the homepage of their websites. The problem is that affiliate world works the best when the client has a specific target with a specific price. When you pay just for impression or clicks that are driven to your homepage, you risk to get users who are not ready to land on your website. A lot of people don't use any creatives, at least banners, they simply choose to buy traffic for the directlink, which is absolutely wrong. Imagine yourself surfing in the net, visiting the website and then get redirected to new LP that offers you nothing. The LP is a long=read or contains a lot of sections + forum+ live support window. You'd likely to close it.
To use exchange platforms or affiliate networks, you should transform your site to a real product with different targets to catch a user (payment, registration, poll, any info confirmation, installation of the product etc.). Also, you have to always remember, that users, that we sell via networks are people who interact with ads. So, most likely they want to do smth after clicking, not simply read or get familiar with your product

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates. Please apply for membership using a personalized email prefix. Something like bob@xxxxx.com.
If we discover you signed up with a role based name we will give you only one message to change it. After 3 days your account will be removed if the email is not changed.
