UC IRVINE EXTENSION HOSTS FIRST MARKETING
EDUCATION PLANNING WEBINAR
Free Event Now Offered in Online Format, Opens Door to a Broader Audience
IRVINE, Calif.?August 18, 2006 ? UC Irvine Extension will host a Marketing Education Planning Webinar on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The webinar, designed to provide information to students and professionals interested in continuing their marketing education, is free and open to the public.
The webinar will be moderated by Jeantet and will include panelist Colleen Edwards, president of The Powermark Group, Inc. and UC Irvine Extension marketing advisory board member. Edwards has served in leadership roles at global companies including Fujitsu, McKesson and FileNet. She has also helped local software start-ups achieve category leadership through effective marketing. Edwards will discuss her background and how she got into the field, educational requirements and personal characteristics that are required in a marketing career, and the different professional associations and networking opportunities available to marketing professionals.
Participants will also learn about UC Irvine Extension?s Marketing Certificate Program and how the courses can help enhance understanding of marketing principles and practices.
