Unmanaged VPS - What do I need to do?

Previously I have always used managed vps hosting.

If I wanted to cut costs and manage the servers myself what sort of stuff would I need to do?

You should take a look at material about managing the server between two interfaces. One is your control panel, the other is your WHM. Think of them as front end management and backend management.

Your hosting provider will be very helpful in assisting you with getting familiar with both.
