PHILADELPHIA—As many in the adult industry are well aware, the current lawsuit against the onerous federal recordkeeping and labeling laws, 18 U.S.C. sec.2257 and 2257A, has been ongoing for nearly a decade—but on Monday, U.S. District Judge Michael M. Baylson announced both his opinion regarding the First Amendment challenges to the law, and his order that both the plaintiffs' attorneys and the U.S. Department of Justice, within two weeks, "submit agreed upon language to effectuate the Court's holdings."

Sounds like things will be fairer (more fair?) to the producers, i.e. not serving five years in prison because somebody put a paper in the wrong place or mixed up a label. No wonder the judge thought it was harsh.

In other news....today is Stormy Daniels Day. Who knew? She's getting a key to the city right now.

That and this law was intentionally written to bully affiliates by classifying affiliates with this *bizarre* status of secondary producer imposing on them the same recordkeeping requirements as the actual producer of explicit content and the same criminal penalties.

Problem is the congress now has a new law to write -- after the USDOJ refuses to accommodate the US District Court and then appeals the court's decision trying to reverse the lower court's ruling. This ain't over but it hobbles the USDOJ and AG *Elmer Fud*.
