Hmmm, yeah, hmmm, don't quite know what to say. I do not think of myself as being important. But then, I understand that I have to give you something. OK, here we go. I am born in Hanover/Germany and do still have the German citizenship.
I grew up, went to school (with interlude in England) and also learned my first profession in Hannover. After serving in the German Air force I have learned my second profession and have studied Marketing & Communications. I am hospitality industry expert, graduate of marketing and certified advertising expert (one of the white sheep!!!, no, seriously).
A large chunk of my life I have spent outside Germany; more precisely phrased predominantly in Asia, as hospitality industry consultant, hotel and resort developer, general manager of hotels and lecturer. After working for some years in Vietnam, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Burma/Myanmar I have put down roots in the latter.
I am living and working in this country all told since 16 years. It is an exceptionally beautiful country with wonderful people. It has become my home and meanwhile I know this country and its people pretty well. I am now marketing director of a travels & tours company in Yangon. Well, that by and large wraps it up; might not be too spectacular but that is what it is.
Oh, yes, my hobbies are digital design, animation, reading and interacting with people. My favourite places are Bagan, Mandalay (and surrounding) as well as the Inlay Lake region in Burma/Myanmar; Saigon, Vung Tau and Hue in Vietnam; Oldsmar, Tarpon Springs and Clearwater in Florida/USA.
My motto is: “If you see someone without a smile on the face, give him one of yours!!!”
