I think you may be able to continue my opening prompt
You can reply or ask questions about using utm
the Urchin Tracking Module.
Privacy has become a real problem for Google as a 3rd party so you will need to create utm_campaign={clickid}-{campaignid}-{token3}-{token4}&utm_{?}= etc
``bard says --the new google spokesman
Here are the default UTM parameters that you can track in GA4:
1. utm_source:
- Identifies the specific source or platform of the traffic, such as:
- Newsletter
- Referral link
- Specifies the type of traffic, such as:
- Organic
- Paid
- Social
- Referral
- Designates the name of the specific marketing campaign, allowing you to track performance across different campaigns.
- Used for paid search campaigns to capture the specific keywords that triggered the ad.
- Facilitates A/B testing of different elements within a campaign, such as variations in ad copy or landing pages.
- A unique identifier for a non-Google paid ad campaign.
- Required for accurate cost data integration in GA4.
- Identifies the platform within a specific source, such as:
- iOS
- Android
- Desktop
- Captures the URL of the previous page that linked to your website.
- While not a standard UTM parameter, GA4 can track it.
Thank the GDPR and the
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA)
for these new issues
I have to track my white label that has my GA4 code installed
have to change my old link key names into utm_variables=my old tracking identifiers that is the only way to track cross-domain now with GA4
My ad network link would remain the same if I am using my own pre lander for redirection the change is needed to show in GA4
