Today at Tweak Mode I will talk about customizing the icons on your Windows Vista desktop. Bear in mind that I will only refer to the default icons of Windows Vista: Computer, Network,
Recycle Bin, well, you get the idea.

In order to obtain a clean desktop, all you have to do is select all the icons and then hit delete. Or right click one of them, following the selection, and selecting delete. That's fairly simple, isn't it?

But what happens if you want them back? What do you have to do to get them back? In Windows XP you could access Properties, via right clicking the Desktop, and in the Desktop Tab, select Customize Desktop in order to access a panel that offered you control over the Desktop Items.
