No, literally, where do I start? I'm a CS dropout who's currently stuck in a very low end job. I've sat on the sidelines and looked and wished and dreamed for the last 1/2 decade.
For the longest, I was stuck in that "motivation" loop. I'd go on walks listening to motivational material and reading motivational things on facebook and blogs. It gives you a false "high". You feel great simply because of the videos you're watching and the articles and books that you're reading.
I was "that guy" pompously lecturing my coworkers about the "rat race" and "separating time from $" and various business topics. Despite the fact that I didn't practice any of my own preaching and toiled away right next to them for the same measly 10.15 an hour.
I briefly ran a 1 man computer repair operation in my local area. It was hit or miss. The one thing that I learned from it though, is you don't always know where your sales will come from. I made more $$ from an $0.08 vista print business card being placed in the right hands than everything else combined.
I'm mainly here to learn. So I intend to do much more reading than posting. I'm sure whatever question I have has likely been answered in previous threads.
My critical error has always been a reluctance to pull the trigger on anything. I will change that. I've amassed quite a collection of books, but I'm going to sell most of them back because a lot of the info is free on the web and I have multiple books on the same topic. Also reading is not a form of taking action.
