I think I read somewhere I can participate in amazon affiliate program as long as I only put a link in one out of ten posts. Is that true?

And what other affiliate programs can I participate in?

If you want to be serious about affiliate marketing, you are going to need your own domain and hosting. Using free "domains" like wordpress.com or blogger.com means you have to comply with their restrictions and knowing this makes it less likely for you to get approval by affiliates.

I'm not sure where you read that about Amazon... but again your first challenge is to get sufficient readership to earn any money.
