it was basicly showing webmasters how well they were cheating google no wonder it was pulled, clearly as one of the above members have stated it rewards you for buying and trading links, something you're not really supposed to do. but, on the other hand, it has worsened the obsession of certain webmasters
I think they're keen to stop site owners from paying so much attention to PR. While PR does still have importance, I'd suggest that visible, toolbar PR no longer has much value at all, if any.
