Hello,

What do I need to consider when choosing a host? What is the difference between cPanel and 'the other', which I can't remember the name of.

On some hosting options I see the mention of a contron panel, other I don't. Why do I need this, or is it alwasy included? At the request of a recent web designer, I engaged with (mt) Medial Templs and got the DV service for $50/month...this seems a bit expensive, but then again I don't know the reason he had me purchase that option. I have since cancelled the service because he took the money and ran.


Any help would be appreciated!

You need control panel for FTP, for creating database etc.. $50 is but expensive for sure.. my website for popup window is also based on wordpress. I'm paying just $25/year.
Please google for the cheap hosting provider. I'm sure you'll get some good host.
