In the UK AI Steve is actually running for office in a MP election.
There are interesting guarantees proposed via a 500 person vetting of any law AI Steve would propose.

This is not a joke however the office itself will be held by AI Steve's 'mentor'

Could this actually enable better representation in a legislative body?

At least AI Steve will could be trained, or moderated, not to take any economic advantage of his office.

Sadly. I think our country may be one of the pilot projects, too.

Ya know, if you'd told me even ten or (more likely) twenty years ago that everything that's happened in the past few years would happen, there's a chance I'd have a really hard time believing it. At least to the extend that it has.

When I was a boy the computer was an AI on StarTrek. I am not surprised at all at the AI `revolution` and further impetus for the application of Moore's Law to other technology.
