Yahoo China launches blog, networking service

Yahoo China on Tuesday launched a new blogging and networking service in a move aimed at diversifying its revenue streams as it steps up expansion in one of the world's largest Web markets.

The Yahoo Space service (i.yahoo.com.cn and club.yahoo.com.cn) includes blogging, photo-gallery, networking and other interactive functions for Yahoo users, Yahoo China said in a statement in response to a Reuters inquiry.

Industry sources had told Reuters that Yahoo China planned to launch a blogging service, and a Yahoo China spokesperson confirmed its plan in the statement on Tuesday.
