PageRank system is not only based on the backlinks. It is a very complex degreeing system. As far as i know, Google never tells all about it.- Veledon

Plus, you can use them for the transcription of some languages. For example, if you want to put some hitite texts on your page, you can use SUP for showing the Sumerian determinatives.- Veledon
