Always a risk in our industry, but overall think the options will open up more than get closed off. The main issues are trying to advertise or use social media like any other business. Everything is a bit more complicated in the cannabis industry.
Adult websites are very competitive and also still complicated to advertise, also not just repurpose content but to find or make own is a bit harder than just making content not adult based.
Seems like a client that may have unrealistic expectations like you have a backdoor into Google's indexing. Can submit indexing for your own site and internal linked pages but off page is not really in your control, especially if not high DA sites that Google loves and will just index immediately.

Based on whatever niche you decide there are so many affiliate programs just by searching the niche term with the words affiliate program. I prefer using Wordpress when it comes to blogging since can evolve the site easily over years and adjust hosting, offers most flexibility.
