Hi there
Is 1-click and 2-click offers SOI, and DOI the same thing?
I just made an affiliate account on the Golden Goose CPA network and am confused by their terminology.

When one or two licks are brought up, it tends to be about the number of clicks to get to the conversion page from the ad. SOI and DOI can sometimes be included in that action when the email is considered the primary ad from where the clicks originate.

1-click and 2-click are terms typically used for mVASm (mobile content) offers. SOI/DOI are terms used for lead-gen.

don't know about 1 click and 2!

but SOI and DOI are 2 different terms! see, SOI meand (single opt-in) so the use needs to fill simple information and click on register or what ever action. And boom, conversion!
While, DOI (Double opt-in) which means the user needs to verify there email or through any process the website requires to get to the product final page

Yeah, but while DOI is sometimes perceived as reducing conversions, it's only true in a portion of intended targets. For example, on average any form of membership site, marketing industry signups, media industry signups, communications industry signups, travel site signups, financial industry signups, medical field signups, and so many others always require DOI. SOI in the majority of the less sophisticated offers is very successful because these types of offers typically generate extreme high volumes of responses and then the email addresses collected are typically used by the/an affiliate to pound with other offers. These SOI lists need to be segmented and scrubbed frequently as many people for the less sophisticated offers use fake email addresses.

Think of the majority of SOI are for email lists used to promote a succession of unrelated emails and DOI will generally be used for actual sites with need for continued communications and the occasional solo ad offers and/or the occasional partners email blast.

Here, at AffiliateFix, we implement DOI. We mostly communicate about forum stuff, but sometimes send out an email with a vendors solo ad included. Sometimes we send a complete vendor devoted email blast.

I use only DOI on my luxury brands sites and most (not all) of my CPA offers are SOI.

Agree, mostly adv that use DOI on their offers are just to get verified traffic. It do reduce the the volume but generates more great quality leads and prevent for fraud case as compared to SOI based offers. They generate more volumes but get deductions as well as many of the pubs try to make extra money from lop holes!

They both have their own pros and cons. But both of them are useful
