Glad you found info helpful
  1. What would you do with the(teamname).com domains?
  2. Are they protected by trademark?
Just interested :ninja:

This was in like '07. Basically I would go to Wikipedia, research and write about the team, history, player list and create a html page for each section. Then add adsense code and link each team site.

Back then I was making html content sites and selling them off on forums after they showed traffic and adsense income. I built hundreds of little sites and sold them off. Wish I'd just kept them all

I have all of my hard drives from every computer I have had since 05. Ive been meaning to get a dock and go through them all again. I have millions of graphics and things I'd like to organize and publish in some fashion. Hey, maybe I'll find an old bitcoin account I forgot about? LOL

As far as trademarks, I had no clue back then. But the 49ers one, wayback says in 2015 it started a 301 to 49ers.com. I wish wayback would show the images. Those sites looked cool.

@SEOBlogPosts
It sounds like you had a profitable network of niche affiliate sites
That's basically what I'm trying to do now
$12,000 commission in 8 months it's not alot
When you consider the cost of living
But I'm slowly finding a profitable strategy
The tactics are always changing

Overall shoppers always want good the same 3 things as 10/20/30 years ago
  1. Quality products
  2. Trustworthy vendor/payment processor
  3. Competitive pricing
I try to nail these 3 things first

Well, I did, kinda lol. A few hundred bucks a month on AdSense was cool for me. I was making more building and selling them than I was from view and clicks. If I had been more knowledgeable I'd have made big money. The potential was a thousand times more now that I realize what I had built when I was younger. But, just knowledge in the bank now lol

My goal is to do the same thing again because it worked. Keep at it. You got this! I look forward to watching more of your updates!

TY for the kind messages
This is all possible with 2 things
1 --> Clearly defined goals
2 --> Relentless improvement
Know where you're going and keep trying
Surround yourself with experts like on this forum
The odds are you will win

Congratulations! Your post is really inspiring. I read everything in this thread and your profile. I see that you are more on Amazon. However I have read somewhere that Amazon affiliate commissions are too less as compared to other platforms like CJ and shareasale, etc. What is your opinion on this?

Dont you think if you had used these platforms then your revenue could be higher?

Thank you.

It’s not about finding a higher paying product, it’s about finding a high converting product. People get these confused.

Good questions @wellnesszing
Just checked totals
Amazon sales & commissions 2020 & 2021
My sites helped Amazon generate $45k sales
Returned commission $2,500
5.5% commission
@Graybeard helped me to realize something important
Don't over rely on one traffic source or program
SEO and Amazon works now
Will it work next week? Next month? Next year?
Tried CJ and Shareasale --> $50
Tried Amazon --> $2,500
@Aiden L is correct it depends what you are promoting?
CJ and Shareasale are good networks
Amazon delivers for me in fashion niche

Thanks for the detailed answer. You are right and this answer gives me an insight in deciding the prospect affiliate source for my own website. :)

Same type `niche` of items?
How much effort in comparison to Amazon?
Fair assessment?
CJ not so much
Most of my CJ applications were rejected multiple times
Accepted ones (including 3 huge fashion brands) returned so little clicks or commission
I didn't want to test them further
Earned a few bucks with Shareasale
Until a brand moved network
Probably should've tested more with SAS
Amazon just made my life easy
