I gave a lot of thought to starting this thread because I knew it would involve a lot of time and effort.

There was a lot of interest and participation when it first started. There is still interest and some member participation. However because of the reduced participation by members I'm going to be doing this thread differently in the future.

I do plan to continue it until the membership reaches 5,000. I am hoping some members will spread the word about 5 Star.

You may participate in this thread whenever you wish. Just be sure not to link to or mention your site or blog in any post in the thread or do anything to get people to notice your signature.

One purpose of this thread, in addtion to giving some attention to the march towards 5,000 members is to provide members with something to allow them to get away from their usual activities.

I'm starting to do thing differently in this thread today since there has been a reduction in member participation.

I will post a variety of things that I hope will entertain, inform or amuze you. There will be a few times when there will be particular topics for a day, but on most days there will be no particular topic.

You are welcome to post whenever you feel like jumping in.
