To answer your questions:
It can be a part time job, although it's always better if you're constantly available. You can simply try being an assistant AM to see how that will go
It's not 'hard' - it's actually fun and rewarding. You can just start a new thread on that - I'm sure you'll get all the info you need on what the AM does exactly (and be aware that strongly depends on each company's policy, not all AMs have the same tasks).
You can be one if you're a student
It will take... all the time in the day Pretty much. It's all up to you actually - if you like it, it'll probably take all of your time. If you don't - it won't take you any time at all


I'm just checking my old logs for some new additions to this thread - follow it regularly and you'll get a pretty good idea of what an AM deals with every day.
