Use whatever tracking solution shows you the stats you need to see. When I started back in 2014 I used GA as well. But it's not optimal for performance marketing. Nowadays I have my own tracker that shows me everything I need.

Also, if you're new, don't expect great results on first try. I see too many people underestimating how HARD advertising/marketing is. To quote a great ad man, this is no lazy man's game.

That being said, you made this thread over a week ago. If I was you I'd already tested at least a few traffic sources.

You only really learn by doing. Whatever you read here will not register in your brain until you get first hand experience. After that, come back to read more, do more, read more. etc. Just reading is a waste of time.

Good luck on your journey. Never give up. Success will find you if you work hard. Just don't expect this to be easy.

When I started back in 2014 I used GA as well.

Most people did, I think. It was widely known and available and it was free. The number of trackers increased as the affiliate markets grew.
