Rep is the abbreviation for reputation. If someone help you in a forum or do something you really appriciate, you can vote to increase their reputation, the symbol for reputation is the scales on topof a post and reputatios are displayed as green little bars, the more green bar you have the higher your reputation.
I am not a very reputable persons
I only have two green bars maybe you will pity me and add to my reputation
