I'd have to agree with the general concensus here and that's relationships. And the best way to form a relationship online is on the forums. Try setting up a google alert with your KW and +forum in it to find contenders.

For me as an affiliate it depends on the money first and relationship second. Because I'm fine with making friends with anyone but why not be friends with the guy that will pay me $5 extra a lead?
