About $10.00 should give you some good information on your conversion goals.

You could run an ad for about $3.00 a day for three days.

This is to gather information. See if you get any conversions.

If your website converts, you may end up making more than $9.00 for the $9.00 you spent.

If that's the case, you can scale it up and make money right away.

I really don't recommend spending a year to find out if your website converts.

For how long a blog will make money depends on a lot of factors. One is your selection of your niche. A profitable niche is one that has a ready market, that means there are people who are looking and ready to shell out money for that product or services you offer. Other factors is your efforts to drive traffic to your website. Without traffic, no one will know that your site exist. Traffic to your site would largely depend on your promotion campaigns and a lot more.
