Trends breakout but are often not acted upon until they get major attention in the media.
  • Until the mainstream media (TV, Internet News Outlets) take notice most don't get the news in the very important early adoption phase.
  • By the time the talk gets to social media is is endlessly debated with opinion if the trend is of any substance
    --wasted time to get a foothold in the beginning
    --all this bantering its real value might be in the assessing of a trend's real adoption value.

Lumber prices in the US market and perhaps in other markets

What happened? The pandemic caused supply chain disruption and new lumber was not produced. If you know anything about making lumber and how sawmills are run --you would know that lumber has to be air or kiln dried to low enough of a moisture content so it can be used without the warping that occurs in fresh milled wood. So, you have a time factor between when a log is cut and when the lumber can be sold at the lumber yard or the building supply outlet.

What this all mean? Builders will start building again and there will be more demand for;
  • new homes and remodeling existing homes (leads in the affiliate world)
  • mortgage and other home loan financing (leads in the affiliate world)
  • home appliances and home furnishings (e commerce)
I thought of this when I placed order to buy some stocks in the new home builder's segment last night --but there are other ways to profit from this ''breakout''

my play is $27 or so in 1 year. It's only $21.10 share with a downside of $5-7 (hopefully) ;)
