Broken link mitigation (repair correction).

Finding and correcting any broken links on your domain, referring domains or platforms ex: social media

On your own server you can correct the links and redirect the broken links to the new 'good' ones with a 301 redirect in your server's configuration or in .htaccess (if you are using Apache 2).

If links are coming from outside servers you can also do the same as above.

Google Webmaster will prompt you to fix your 404 links and pages, identifying only the 404s they spider; but the best way to find all the 404s is to grep your server logs (advanced).
