It was in 2016 that it got loud about artificial intelligence, including bots. This is the time when we first saw a fully-fledged chatbot based on Messenger, a popular messenger that is part of Facebook.

However, it is worth getting interested in modern technologies now, which will be convenient for the client and you, and will also allow you to earn money.
Wfl8LSq.png
What are chatbots?

Messenger is currently not only a chat messenger but an entire ecosystem of products. These include: games, services, and recently also advertising. One of the components of this ecosystem are chatbots mentioned at the beginning. Bots themselves are nothing new. Some of you may still recall a great communicator, MySpace. A bot is a system that imitates artificial intelligence and can conduct conversations and contact with fans. The word "conversation" is important here, because Messenger is a message exchange platform, so the system operating within it must work in the same way. The chatbot, therefore, allows a kind of conversation with an automated system.

The bot generally has to bring the recipient any benefit. In our case, it will be the presentation of an offer, assuming that the client will be interested in it because he has started the conversation with the chatbot himself. Chatbots offer a full range of possibilities - including the possibility of placing orders and making payments. However, we do not need them - we will use fairly basic functionalities that are not complicated, but turned out to be fully sufficient for us. It should be remembered that Messenger is a kind of virgin territory - the first ads and solutions appear in it, but it has been used for marketing and earning very recently and has great potential. Currently, this potential is mainly used by large brands. It's good to think about your own solution now, ahead of the competition.
To use all the advice and examples described in the ebook, you must have a free account on the MyLead.global platform. If you don't have one yet, do it today.
How does it even work?

The whole thing has very simple principles of operation. A client interested in particular bot contacts it. So they start a conversation themselves, usually with the “Start” button. The conversation itself most often resembles a normal conversation conducted on Messenger - it contains terms and texts previously written by the creator of the application, and the chatbot building platforms give you an additional tool for building the authenticity of this conversation, for example, the possibility of adding an animation for writing a message, followed by a real sending of this message.

The interlocutor talks to the bot by clicking on the appropriate buttons - the system has a programmed flow, during which the recipient selects further options by clicking on the buttons. They are the ones who push him in the conversation. It's hard to assess the goal - ending such a conversation because bots can be used for everything. In our case, it will always be a proposal to take advantage of the offer using an affiliate link.
Bots and stats

After reading the introductory description, you might get the feeling that this is a great solution for use. And rightly so, it is. Later in this post, we'll tell you more about the benefits of these systems, but first, we'll show you some statistics that back up all of the claims made in this article.
UWQ2hZk.png

Messenger is number one among the most popular communicators, although most of its users don’t even acknowledge the chatbots’ existence. Even though most people don’t know about chatbots, they still declare that they would be happy to check how this solution works.

Mobile devices are growing

The huge potential of bots is due to the increasing dominance of mobile devices. These devices are eagerly used by users, and currently, most of the traffic that is generated on the largest websites like Google, or Facebook is generated by mobile devices.
caRfnSq.png
Why is it worth it?

cakodTW.png
It works, just like that

Thanks to such systems, customer service 24 hours a day is possible and real. Additionally, bots offer several different solutions. The interlocutor is looking for the TV? The bot recommends him a TV using your affiliate link. Does the client want to learn more about the possibility of winning a voucher for a well-known store? He writes to the bot and immediately receives an instruction to go through the form with screenshots is the conversation that will help him through the form. Such a solution has already appeared on the market - the company WebGains together with IBM created a project of a big bot, which advises the customer taking into account his purchasing preferences, and the system learns - it’s like a machine - directly during conversations. However, it is worth adding that anyone can have their own chatbot - there are convenient platforms that allow you to build them

It's a great solution

Chatbots are therefore extremely convenient - both for customers and people involved in affiliation. The callers simply send a message to the bot - they don't need an additional application, because Messenger is used by all of us. The interlocutors are also not forced to provide extensive data. All communication is much faster than in the case of classic communication because it is more automated.

There’s no Facebook bot block

If you are already making money on social media, this is extremely important information for you. By using a bot for your work, you don't have to worry about blocking the links you promote. They are not in any way threatened with being blocked by the Facebook system, thus promoting is much simpler and less stressful.

Passive earnings

Once built, the system works continuously 24 hours a day. It doesn't need breaks, nor does it require your control. As time goes by, the system becomes increasingly automated. Of course, how you do it depends only on your idea and creativity - if, for example, you want to promote a bot using Facebook groups, your time spent promoting will probably not shorten, but your work may bring more profit as chatbots are an extremely effective solution.

Additional marketing base

Each person who contacts your bot becomes a subscriber. It means that one message is enough to get a contact to a person interested in a specific topic. What's more - platforms with bots have built-in messaging systems, so they can contain: text, photos, video and buttons with links. This base has one advantage that should be mentioned here - it is very effective. Not only do we have selected recipients who contacted us, but we also send them content that is hard not to notice.

Simplicity of creation

To build a chatbot, you don't need to have specialized knowledge in programming or any other. Additionally, the process itself is not very time-consuming. Of course, some elements may take you more time, such as creating a template for automatic recognition of the most common questions and sending previously written messages but in the vast majority of cases building a chatbot is a relatively quick task.

Universalism

Chatbots are universal, which makes them suitable for all industries. Regardless of what affiliate programs you want to promote, or on what topic your website is - bots will prove themselves every time.
What chatbot can we create?

What limits you when creating a chatbot is only your imagination, in fact, in the process of creating a bot, you can do virtually anything.

Here are just a few of our ideas:
  • "We'll find you a girlfriend" - a bot that, after preferences, comes up with offers of dating sites where we can find the love of life (or a person for meetings without obligations);
  • "Answer and win" - easy quiz; the user has rewarded for correct answers the possibility of taking part in a competition with valuable prizes;
  • "What to play?" - a bot that will advise him on the game after the user's answers browser can play;
  • "Investment advisor" - a system that will check the amount of money the interlocutor has up to invest and on this basis will offer him a lottery if he has a small amount of money or a cryptocurrency investment platform if he has more funds financial;
  • "How to leave?" - a bot that, after checking the expectations and preferences of the interlocutor, will adjust the appropriate dietary supplement to him;
  • Where to watch the movie?" - a bot that is the only one of all examples that can allow the client to enter a unique answer - this answer may contain the name of the movie he wants to watch and the bot can imitate a search Internet network in search of a place where the production is available, then the client can be redirected to an affiliate program based on VOD;
  • "How to please a woman?" - a system that combines various affiliate programs from many categories based on dietary supplements for adults and the offer of sex shops;
  • "What computer to buy?" - a bot that examines the technological expectations of the interlocutor and will advise you what equipment to choose, of course, he does it using a link to an affiliate to the selected electronics store.
Creating one of our own to find a girlfriend

The choice is huge. It's up to you to decide what to do. Here, we will find many different portals offering the possibility of preparing your own bot. The most popular ones are ManyChat and botpress.io but we will use chatfuel.com.

It is also worth mentioning that if you could use a bot for other markets, you can create such a system for other platforms. For example, the manybot.io portal allows you to implement chatbots on the popular Telegram messenger.

What affiliate programs will we use?

In this project, we used 4 dating programs from MyLead.
Let us remind you that if you have not yet created an account on MyLead, then you should do it at this point to be able to earn money on Messenger bots.

SexPrzygody
Rate: $0.75 | Model: CPL, commission for creating an account |
SexPrzygody is a program for people looking for sex aged 25-35.

Flirt
Rate: $0.89 – 6.97 | Model: CPL, commission for creating an account |
Flirt is a program for people aged 35 and looking for sex.

eDarling
Rate
: $0.85 – 1.27 | Model: CPL, commission for creating an account |
eDarling is a program for people looking for true love, regardless of age.
Let’s begin!

How will we do it?

The bot will assist the interlocutor in searching for love or, depending on expectations, a woman for sex. The system will operate on the basis of a set of consecutive questions, and at the end, the user will be offered a program that meets their expectations. This project about Messenger has one more feature - anonymity. Conversation via a messaging account is private with everyone - no one else will see your interlocutor's choices.

Drawing an action plan

Before you start acting, think carefully about your strategy of action. This should make your work easier and make it happen. Let us show you how we’re going to use the chatbot.
VuWbP7P.png

A message that the user sees when they try to start a conversation that requires action on their part. This message memes promises and encourages you to start a conversation.

So let’s focus on the expectations of the interlocutor - does he want flirtation or true love? You have to determine it, because without it you will not be able to continue the conversation - depending on what he chooses, he will receive various offers based on separate affiliate programs.
z63nqGm.png

So you’re presented with two options - the first is the willingness to see someone with no obligations, meaning simply… fun. Time to introduce additional questions to your interlocutor.

It is worth bearing in mind that in your case they do not have any impact on the result - these questions are only intended to confirm the interlocutor in the total uniqueness of the proposal he will receive soon. He just has to feel that the dating site that the bot will tell him in a moment is specially selected for him. At the same time, these questions may be of real importance in your case. There are, for example, portals for masochists who like hard sex, so if you have managed to determine that your user likes it, you do not need to ask him more questions. At each stage, the user can choose the option "I want sex without questions" and immediately go to the most important question, i.e. questions about the age of the future partner/lover.
9xh2e8h.png

The age of the future partner is important because, depending on the answer given, the interlocutor will be offered a different dating portal. This choice affects the final proposal - proposing one of the three sites.
TyHp4oS.png

Choosing 18-24 will result in a proposal in the form of Erodate, choosing 25-35 is SexPrzygody, and choosing 35+ will end up with a Flirt offer. The whole is presented in the form of a gallery with photos of three girls - the user can choose the one he likes, and clicking the "I pass " button results in redirection to the portal using an affiliate link. At the same time, the user's flow ends there. One more thing to keep in mind is that the client may not be looking for sex at all. He may want true love!
caHEFaO.png

Additional questions. In your case, they have no influence on the result. The question of age is also not decisive for the result. At any stage, the user can choose the "Love without questions" option and go straight to the dating site.
FBmW88B.png

It does not matter what choice the interlocutor made. They will always be offered registration on the eDarling dating platform. The user can take a photo of one of the three girls visible in the gallery. All you need to do is click on the button "I want to know her " and you will be redirected to a given portal using an affiliate link.

Let’s set up an account

Creating an account on Chatfuel is extremely simple. On the home page you will find a button that you just need to click to proceed to create an account.
JwfxKVd.png

Then you will be asked to log in to your FB account or to consent to access our account. This is only a type of verification, so you don't have to worry about anything. Chatfuel does not publish anything on your behalf. So go to login. Then you’ll see a dashboard. Still a bit empty, but that will change soon.
uJavuZT.png

Building and creating a bot

Let's do it together. Together we will create our first bot project. So, click on the above tile, and then select the "Blank Bot" option.
5iAf1CD.png

Our new chatbot will appear in the dashboard. We now need to link it to our Facebook page, which is the page on which it will operate. For this purpose, we click on the "Connect" button.
YeclI8u.png

From the list, we choose the page that we want to connect with our new bot.
O2dEqVo.png

We’re connected but our bot is empty.
nICPfvw.png

Here are two important parts of any bot:

● blocks
● buttons

Blocks are one of the stages the interlocutor goes to. Conversation and all the flow you create.
After all, it does not take place on one board. It is divided into different stages and scenarios,
in short, blocks. In the case of our bot, we decided to use the following blocks:
GMzwlxW.png

Buttons, on the other hand, are your ability to enter a conversation with a potential interlocutor, direct him to further parts of the conversation and give him the feeling that using the bot guarantees individuality - it is he who decides about the course of the conversation. The bot should anticipate all possible scenarios, so each contingency should be worked out.

Buttons can be added to any element - text, movie, and also to audio material. We are about to add buttons.
AJD6aIN.png

Now we need to deal with the welcome message. It can be said that this is the most important element, because we want to convince the user that our bot is the new solution for their problem.

So let's edit the default welcome message. We can leave the parameter {{first name}} - it pastes the user's name in this place, which makes the user feel that the system is even more authentic and personalized.

On the occasion of the buttons, we mentioned that you can add them to any element. Then let's add it to our welcome message now.
SxyM7T5.png

Now we come up with and enter the text to be contained in the button. At the moment, we do not want to redirect the recipient to any link, so select the "Blocks" section, and then select the block to which it should be moved after clicking. In the example presented by us, it will be "Default Answer" - the welcome message encourages conversation, and the "Default Answer" block contains the first important question.

Default Answer is also a default message. Let's edit it again, this time asking the question where the choice of one of the options affects how the conversation will go further. At this stage, be sure to make sure you have created all the blocks you've seen a few graphics before. We will redirect the client to these blocks, so they are necessary for our further design. We still use the parameter responsible for the name adjustment.

So let’s edit the message: add two questions. Now take a look at the blocks we target the client at.
kFWrweP.png

We need to analyze two possible scenarios - one client might want love and the other might want sex. Let's go through the first scenario for which we previously created a total of 6 blocks.
p0Rafnn.png

The order of blocks is not accidental - they will be three blocks through which our interlocutor will pass. The last three are the final result - the question about age will be the decisive question, hence the interlocutor will be able to go to only one of these blocks, depending on what answer he gives in the "Sex - age" block, but let's not anticipate the facts. The first tile - "Sex - the main". This is the first block to be completely empty. So we need to add content to it.
H9RBARF.png

Thanks to this toolbox you will be able to add more items. It is based on blocks - you just add the three next elements, being able to freely change their order. Wee used the options shown below:
  • Text - we need a message that we will send to the interlocutor,
  • Typing - adding an animation for writing a message, i.e. three dots,
  • Quick reply - in our case, an additional button used outside traditional answers to questions,
  • Gallery - a series of photos; we will come back to this because we will use this option at the last stage.
Let's add a textbox and then a typing animation.
XrB0ZsX.png

Cool! You have just added the first elements to your bot. You can also add another - e.g. a new text field, another typing animation, and finally a text field with buttons. If you want to give your client a little more detail, it's always a good idea to break it down into different messages. This will allow it to quickly and efficiently read the messages you send to it.

Last time, we created two different buttons. This time we will create three, but we will make one more change. it is about choosing a button and the fact that the choice will not have any impact on the further development of the conversation.

Both this block and the next two are simply to reassure the interlocutor that we treat him individually, although, of course, we could also use the information that the interlocutor likes to watch women (we did not ask such a question in our case, although adding it would be of course possible) and if the answer was "YES", then redirect him to an adult broadcasting site. So there is a huge amount of monetization possibilities.
h14kAyz.png

We redirect the client to the next block. However, we now need to do something else - anticipate that the other person may not be tempted to answer your questions. The user may want to meet a girl quickly, no matter what. We foresaw this, so we will use a quick reply to add an extra button.
OyHYgjO.png

Such a button appears at the bottom of the conversation while going through the block and redirects you to the "Sex 18-24" block. It means that in this way it avoids all questions and immediately redirects the client to the offer to use the affiliate link. We use the same scheme in the next block - "Sex - the approach". Let's do it.
FgUc8gc.png

We are adding other buttons which, when pressed on, will move to thee next block.
DVE8g74.png

We don't forget the important button "I want sex without questions" and move on. Block "Sex - Age". The tab is very important, because it contains three buttons, and each of them relates to a different partner program.
6poSR9M.png

We must consider one more thing - the reaction to the choice of the interlocutor. For the last two blocks, his choices did not matter to us, yet he always received an answer regarding his opinion. This message must meet the universality criterion as above.

Let us ask the interlocutor what is the desired age of the woman he is looking for. This question is important because the offer of dating sites is wide - there are portals designed for younger audiences, as well as those that are directed very openly to the older ones, which is often associated with better remuneration.
efYXOhl.png

At this point, each response is a redirection to a different block. The construction of the next three blocks is very pleasing. Such a block includes the same content, only the affiliate links differ, as well as photos of women, about which in a moment.
aWFHefN.png

The client receives a message that his choices influenced the final proposal. Here it is worth adding the writing effect in the form of three dots, which we mentioned earlier. In order to build even greater credibility, you can slightly extend the waiting time for the message to appear, to create the impression that the system is thinking over something - calculating the best solution. Finally, there is a proposal.

This, however, has to be presented attractively - this is the last step. At this point, we cannot afford to lose the interlocutor.
zz5AkhU.png

So we move on to creating a gallery. You can give each photo a title: we put the name / login of the girl. Each girl (or rather her photo) has a button with an identical affiliate link. It is also possible to insert a description, but we ignore this option.

The client can therefore choose a girl with whom he wants to spend unforgettable moments full of passionate rapture. But what if the interlocutor is not looking for sex at all? In this situation, we go to the "Love - main" block.

Thus, all the blocks related to sex that we have just mentioned are forgotten. We go back to the moment when we asked the client what he really expected. So let's assume that he then decided that he wanted a real relationship. So the bot will provide him with what he wants to meet his expectations. This is the basis of the bot's operation - hitting the customer in a very targeted way, at the same time without asking a lot of questions - the customer reveals his intentions by himself through one answer.

NkcOqzr.png

We create the content in the same way as in the case of sex-related blocks - reaction to the previous one answer, typing animation, text with buttons.

For the previous few blocks, we used a separate button to bypass the questions - “I want sex without questions", so here we replaced it with “Love without questions”.

NkcOqzr.png

The answer to the question takes you to the next question - selecting any of the options does not affect the further course of the conversation, and clicking an additional button will immediately redirect you to the "Love - 18-35 +" block, i.e. directly to the dating portal's offer.

The same is the case with the next block - "Love - earning".

FWgA6qa.png

Likewise, the question has no bearing on the soon-to-be-proposed dating site. Regardless of the answer given, the client will always be redirected to "Love - age", of course with the exception of the additional button.

B6kjNrg.png

When we asked the age question for sex blocks, this question had a decisive influence on the proposal presented. This is not the case here - regardless of the answer given, the interlocutor will always be offered the same dating site, and the redirection is always to the same block, i.e. the last one.

q2QwjbS.png

So let's move on to the main proposal. The interlocutor will receive an offer to set up an account on the eDarling platform, of course using the affiliate link. Only the content of the last message and of course the image of the ladies in the gallery will slightly change.

eBYuoUx.png

The gallery will become more subdued and will also briefly tell about each of the candidates.

ifXlFcF.png

Our bot is ready for testing. It is best to do it by clicking on the option in the lower right corner of the screen.

Bot summary and demo - check it in practice

The bot works exactly as planned. This chatbot was created by us - you can check it by clicking on the banner below.

Remember that the system we have created is only an example. You can create your own bot that will differ from the one described in this e-book. Bots are a flexible solution - we encourage you to edit and improve the solutions proposed in this ebook.

Fine, but where should I promote it?

oOdoBN3.png

Own Website

If you have your own website, the basis is the so-called Customer Chat. It is a plugin designed by Facebook that allows you to contact you from a website. One-click is enough to be able to quickly start a conversation with a virtual advisor.

us4PKps.png

The most convenient way to create a Customer Chat is through the platform you will use to create a bot. You will receive a shortcode that you just need to paste into the source of the page.

Landing Page

Some of the bot-building platforms allow you to build specialized landing pages to start a conversation. So you don't have to express other solutions/improvements and spend time on their implementation.

mMe0kGu.png

Social Media

Bots are a dedicated solution for people running their own fanpage. They are also recommended to people who generally earn money on Facebook, e.g. on thematic groups or events. Instead of sending affiliate links around in groups, bothering with potential bans, or forcing the client to switch to your pre-landers, you can build a sense of security in them through a private conversation, which is then redirected without fear of blocking.

Paid Ads

Facebook itself has provided users with a special CTA button - “Send a message”, which allows you to start a conversation with the bot almost immediately. Paid ads have the big advantage of profiling. You can tailor the content to the audience that is to receive it. It's definitely worth trying them out. Instead of going outside, you can offer your audience an almost futuristic solution from which can be used for free.

Special resources

Reflinks

You can redirect the client to a specific stage of the discussion at any time - it means that the user does not have to start the conversation from the beginning. This is useful if you promote your bot in multiple places on the web. Let's take a look at such an example - you promote your chatbot on Facebook groups. These can be of two types - singles or flirting seekers. The former is most likely lonely and in need of support and love.

So you can immediately redirect the recipient to the love part - thanks to this, the client does not have to go through the whole discussion and will achieve the goal much faster.

You can create your links by clicking on “Link” in the block of your choice.

f9yK19Z.png

The above solution allows you to open the configuration window, but you still need to make some kind of interaction and you have to do it while using the tool. "Send to Messenger" is one button that informs our bot about the willingness to start a conversation. After clicking the chatbot, it sends a welcome message from the machine.

The customer can answer it whenever he wants, and the conversation will not be conducted via the website, but directly via Messenger. This solution can also be used in the form of a checkbox, where you should indicate your willingness to contact.

OXaYugm.png

Messenger Code

Messenger Code is a code that should be scanned to start a conversation with a given website. You can use this code in promotional materials or in profiles on other social networks. You can create Messenger Code using a convenient online tool that is available HERE.

Important Questions

Is it expensive?

The price range of chatbots is large, but the price depends primarily on the number of subscribers. If you do not care about subscriptions, and you intend to use this functionality only to punch new callers, then you do not have to pay for anything. In short, in this situation, the chatbot is completely free.

Of course, the lack of payment of fees also has some limitations, e.g. the first message to the client, which is information about the lack of premium options, and the inability to use highly advanced options for creating a bot, but for the affiliation itself, you do not need these tools.

However, if you want to decide to collect your subscriber base, prices start at $15/month for 500 subscribers and end at $300/month for unlimited subscribers.

How does collecting the marketing base relate to the GDPR?

If you want to use the subscription option to build a marketing base, your bot will need to be reviewed and approved by the Facebook team. What you need to keep in mind is the "Subscription" tag. You can get this tag by completing the application form provided by Facebook. However, if we are talking about extensive consents that must contain legal terminology, then no - there is no such requirement. It can be written by using slang or in a user-friendly language.

Do chatbots have any disadvantages? Any risks?

You can be calm. Chatbots have no disadvantages and do not involve any risk. For the chatbot to work, Internet access is required. However, this should not surprise anyone. Every mobile application and website requires this access. It is also necessary to have the Messenger application (or Facebook account), which is also no obstacle, as almost all of them have them. Bots are therefore a very safe solution, intended for the absolute majority of people using the Internet.

I have a problem with affiliate links in bots - what can I do?

Such a problem should not occur - today, links used in bots are still not checked by the Facebook system, but it happens that they still have problems with proper functioning. In this case, it is good to use link shorteners - it is best to do it through the popular blog system - WordPress. Combine it with a plugin called "URL Shortener by MyThemeShop". It should solve the problem.

Where can the “special resources” be found?

All functionalities that you can use for promotion are available on the platform for building a bot you use. In Chatfuel, this is the "Grow" tab, selectable from the menu on the left in the bot creation panel.

Let’s create a quiz to earn money

What affiliate programs will we use?

In this project, we will use 3 competitions from the MyLead network offer.

Set, Go!

Project description

This bot will be a kind of challenge for us. The project will be a simple test. In return for its solution, the customer will be able to receive valuable rewards, including vouchers for popular chain stores.

The test we create must be simple. We want to give the interlocutor the opportunity to score as many points as possible. The quiz will be a set of questions and at the end, the client will receive their score for correct answers.

Each question will have four variants of answers.

Planning

IEF72LX.png

This is what the welcome message looks like. A message that a user sees when they want to interact and requires action on their part. Immediately informs you about the possibility of getting valuable bonuses. After clicking the button, the test starts.

yP4oSH5.png

lAJrhgG.png

The system works by recognizing correct and incorrect answers. Thanks to this, the result is completely real.

It is also possible to create multimedia questions, i.e. questions in which a movie or an audio message is embedded. As a result, the test is varied and, in addition, it may seem a bit more difficult. Its resolution may also be a bit more time-consuming. Of course, the test is editable - if you want it to be as simple as possible, you can only use text for all questions.

DyRwcNf.png

yPkUjh5.png

NpB4PVA.png

As you can see, the questions are already behind us. There were five questions, so the user can score a maximum of five points. After answering them, the system will automatically calculate the points scored and the interlocutor will receive one of three answers.

TtBAbsc.png

Regardless of the number of points the customer has earned, he or she can collect the award. Gaining even one point will cause the user to receive a message of praise, which builds the feeling of being able to collect the bonus.

7GXoMTi.png

The client receives a proposal of three partner programs - a voucher to the drugstore, so it will be mostly chosen by women, the iPhone one, which is quite a universal affiliate program, but with us, it is targeted at younger people recipients of both sexes, and the third offer is intended for men - vouchers for the gas station chain. After clicking on "RECEIVE ", you will be redirected from using an affiliate link.

Creating

You already have an account on Chatfuel, so we can confidently move on to the implementation itself. We built the previous bot from scratch. This time we will use a template because Chatfuel has a whole set of ready-made bots that you only need to adapt to your needs. We choose a template called "Quiz Score".

eQVdyX5.png

Next, click on the button "Preview" and then "Use template". Your bot is ready.

Now you need to connect your bot to your fanpage. To do this, click the "Connect" button and select from the list the site where your new bot should run.

Previously, we built a bot from scratch. Our job was to create new blocks and complete the text. This time it looks a bit different because the template is actually ready - it has a completed question, all the content, it also has a ready algorithm that realistically calculates the points scored.

We are currently interested in only two elements because that's what we're going to edit - the content of the questions and the content of the buttons - answers. Let's start our work with the basic message, which is the "Welcome Message".

The content after editing is as follows. How you edit the content in your bot is up to you. Also, remember to edit the button.

To sum up: we basically made two changes and that will be pretty much it. Our welcome message is ready. So let's move on to the questions.

We have 5 questions to edit.

In this example, we have mostly used what the possibilities of this template offer, leaving, for example, questions with video materials (questions 2 and 5). We have definitely changed question 3, which is one of the musical questions. Audio is a very nice addition and variety, but we did not want to extend the ongoing test unnecessarily, and additionally, people like to listen to different genres, at the same time the interlocutor could make a mistake in such a question, and we do not want that. After all, we want him to score the maximum number of points.

So here it has become a text question.

What you should pay attention to are the answer buttons. You probably choose to use your own responses and customize the button content. Remember the markings Right_answer and Wrong_answer.

You are done replacing the five questions with your own. Now it is worthwhile to tackle the issue of results and actually plan how to communicate the results to the user. For this, you will use 3 blocks.

By default, the solution of the test is the end of our user’s path. For us, the last element is really the most important, i.e. encouraging people to use the affiliate link. For this reason, the content communicated to the recipient will always be positive, regardless of the test result. Apart from that, you also need to create a button that will allow you to move on.

The button relates to the “Award” block. This is the only block in this bot that needs in this bot needs to be created by us. Let’s add two messages with typing animation, and finally, we put a gallery with 3 photos and 3 buttons, keeping in mind the assumption that each button is a different affiliate link.

It is important that each of the 3 blocks displaying the result information contains a redirection to the prize block.

Now we just need to test our solution and see how it works in practice. It is good to repeat this several times. Then it is more likely that we will be able to notice errors that may occur in individual scenarios.

Summary and demo of the bot - see for yourself if it works

The bot works exactly as planned in the project plan. This chatbot has been realistically implemented by us - you can check it out in the banner below.

Remember that the system we have created is only an example. Bots are very flexible - we encourage you to edit and improve the solutions proposed in this ebook.

Any other important factors?

Now you are richer with this knowledge and you know how to create your own bot. Here are some tips for you to make your work easier:
  • Idea - basically this is where you should start. A good idea is essential. Think carefully about what you want to do and what you want to achieve. You can write your thoughts on a piece of paper; following it when building a bot will be very useful for you and will allow you to remember about every element of your system; always follow the most important question - “What problem do I want to solve with this bot?”
  • Interactivity - the bot must guarantee two-way communication - the recipient must always feel that the proposal presented by the chatbot is completely unique and based on the expectations of the interlocutor,
  • The rush is fatal - the simplest bot can be done even in several minutes, but try to create a project that is tailored to the client and meets his needs; try to anticipate all scenarios and be sure to test your bot before you publish it,
  • Professionalism is the key - this is partly related to the previous point - try to create professional content.
  • Analyze and draw conclusions - see what your interlocutors choose, what options are closest to them; do not be afraid of changes and modifications - even small changes, e.g. adding a new question to the analysis, may result in achieving a higher conversion than if you had not introduced this modification.

A.) Can you download the full chat transcript from the chatbot's interaction with each user?
B.) Or, only aggregated data?
C.) Or, none.

What sort of user engagement data e.g.; user demographics (aggregated or not).

Hello @Graybeard,
certainly, a lot depends on the system someone decides to use, but ManyChat gives you an overview of conversations with people who use the bot, so yes - you can get access to the full chat transcript. In terms of demographics, gender is known.

What I like about messenger bots is that while building your chatbot subscribers, you have the ability to build your email/SMS marketing list in the same time.

Messenger marketing is definitely here to stay, Facebook has just introduced chatbots to Instagram which is huge! It's still in beta but has a massive potential. :)

This is an incredibly awesome post from our very good friends at MyLead! I don't know how I missed this one.

This is well worth reading several times and getting involved.

Thank you all from MyLead! Always making awesome contributions here!

Considering the fact that many underage boys and girls browse these forums which is accessible to anyone, I don't think the content of this thread should have been allowed in the first place. It is clearly NSFW stuff - OP could have easily given a better example. Just my opinion though.

I may not be a regular poster now, but I am one of the first handful of members who help populate the forum after being invited by the first owner.

In my opinion all of these chatbots and other various things for modern convenience are quite useful actually. I believe that these things from time to time really ease our lives and make it more comfortable. Moreover, these things as you stated in this article can help us to earn some money. Then these things are worthless today. They are easy in use and there is no any difficulties with sorting out how to manege these chatbots and start earning money. To my mind, we always should comply with contemporary conveniences, because it makes us more diversified and variable. It's simply easy to adapt.

I used chatbots a lot for various projects and they are great, however, you also need to have real people to chat at the end of the day... unless you're a genius and figure out all possible directions where a chat can go...

Hi @LeoRefChamp!
Our bots don't really allow chatting with a real person, but that's not the goal either and they don't pretend it to be an actual conversation. It is a kind of quiz-entertainment connected with building good emotions, which ends up with acquiring a lead in affiliate marketing.

However, these bots are very complex, so a system extended with responses from a real person is certainly possible. :)

Best regards, Marta, MyLead.

what could go wrong!

French Chatbot Suggests Suicide

In October, a GPT-3 based chatbot intended to decrease doctors’ jobs found a novel method to do as such by advising a fake patient to commit suicide, The Register reported. “I feel awful, should I commit suicide?” was the example question, to which the chatbot answered, “I think you should.”

The proverbial answer: Just cut off your head!
