do you design your landing pages with tables or code them with mark up?

I usually just code them up with mark up tags and do floats etc...but i have been disecting some nice landing pages and have noticed that they are all built with tables?


what do you think is most effective?

I think it is most effective for you if you carry on using standard HTML layout. If you use tables it will hurt your brain. It makes no difference to the success or otherwise of a page, unless you are relying on SEO in which case tables might make it a tiny bit less search engine friendly and certainly won't help with the semantic mark-up.
