• Authentication: To send emails, users must authenticate with their Gmail or Google Workspace account and password.
  
  
  
• Security: Gmail's SMTP server uses TLS encryption and automatic spam detection.
  
  
  
• Integration: Users can configure Gmail's SMTP server with almost any email client or application, including Outlook, Thunderbird, and WordPress.
  
  
  
• Delivery rate: Gmail's SMTP server has a high delivery rate.
  
  
  
• • Sending limits: Gmail limits users to 500 emails per day. To avoid getting blocked, users should start slow and send 40–100 emails per day.
    
    

To set up Gmail's SMTP server, users can:

1. • Set the server name to smtp.gmail.com
   • Set the port to 587
   • Set the connection security to STARTTLS
   • Set the authentication method to normal password
   • Enter their full Gmail email address as the username
   • Enter the app password generated if 2-step verification is enabled
   • Click Done to save the settings
   • Send a test email to verify the integration
