No, the "peak" season starts in ~1-2 months (usually the last ~2 months before finals), but the general season is just any time most colleges are in session for fall or spring semesters. Most colleges start in the latter half of august, so some are in session but some still aren't so I'd say wait until Sept at the earliest.
