Expiry date on plastic

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way to add expiry date to plastic bottles. I recently bought a stamp but the ink doesn't dry on plastic. There are some handheld jet printers but those are costly. Maybe someone can suggest me a cost effective way to add expiry date without having to manually write it?

Do you batch print the bottles label --I often see expiry date on there?
Transparent printer labels can be bought also (inkjet or laser printing).

Yes I was thinking to add expiry date to labels on the next batch, but I have batch of labels already. I found some inks that supposed to work on plastic, but the stamp I bought also said the ink stays on plastic..
