Seeking Help Facebook Advertising

Hello you very wonderful and intelligent people that make up these forums. I truly hope you have had a positive and successful week and you are healthy.

I am starting my first Facebook Ads (image based) campaign for a competition based Facebook group. I have done a course on Facebook Ads and i am finding the whole process very interesting.

Can i kindly please ask how you research and find out the ideal narrow audience that would be best engaged with my competition Facebook group please for the Facebook Ad settings? If you kindly had any thoughts on this i would be forever grateful and thankful it would mean the world to me.

Lastly, can i please ask if you would link to a pre-made landing page from your Facebook Ad, before linking them to your Facebook competition group, to try and collect customers email address for instance please? If you kindly had any thoughts on this i would be forever thankful and it would be highly appreciated.

Sending you lots of good wishes and i truly hope you achieve massive success with your business goals and have a wonderful future. With my every best wishes to you.

Not sure what that means --the obvious thing to do is join that group (under your `spy` username) an look and see for yourself.
You could rip the posts and anyalize them of clues ... Of course you need to know what you are looking for. I would aggregate as many post that would be representative, to the groups volume --maybe 5% to 10%; and then feed that data into an AI to develop a profile of your target user attributes.
Whether you can segment one of the used spy tools to an individual Facebook group IDK (doubtful).

Oh my, this is an old game. The thing is targeting those in a private group you cannot join is near impossible without extensive work by a developer and even then you risk a ban. Believe me I have been all over this for years. In the end I found that it is just not worth it. Once you are in a group, there are platform's like Lead Enforce to scrape a group.

There much better ways to cold target for establishing target lists in ads manager. I actually went back to doing this "old school". I shot-gun an awesome clickbait to a geo so I can see where the data chips fall. A good 24 or 48 hours will do it usually for a new targeted list. Then I've got the data to split into specific demos. It's quick, easy, and cheap. I re-do the geos every 6 months to update the successful lists I maintain.

Scraping anything these days is worthless IMO.
