Facebook basics?

I want to use my $50 FB credit to run a test campaign on FB, just wondering what the main 5-7 bullets points are for FB PPC. I know direct linking is ok, dating/gaming are good to start with, maybe target international, etc.

First campaign, what are the basics to follow?

Most if not all direct linking campaigns get rejected. You will need a landing page for sure. Better still, a fanpage to which the ad directs with a Like button. If you build a fanpage your ad is most likely to be approved. Bid low and if you just want to test, bid on impressions. Email and zip submits work on FB because no one on FB really wants to buy anything - it's just for socializing just like YouTube is for entertainment.

The main 2 advices are to target as specific as possible and to test multiple pictures to find those with the highest CTR. High CTR is the ultimate goal with your image and the ultimate goal with the title and ad copy is to increase conversions.
