First Affiliate Sale :)

Well done on the 1st one,CJ in my opinion is the Best followed by affiliate futures, clickbank and finally adsense :dance2:

Excellent its starting off which is a complete killer, to think i make nearly £4879 a year in affiliate sales :D

Super dupa, generating the first is always a smile generator. It means you are doing something right!
Personally, I love the travel cos the commissions can be high with the highest commissions on one sale made reaching £147.00!!!

Nice site tooo - with the right exposure you'll be earning loads...

Sorry, rather exciting, had my first commission from CJ today from Retro Garden - Retro Gaming & Video Games Reviews, News and Features.

It's 16p from ebay, but it's a start :)

Hey, well done! Now you know it works and have your CJ account I imagine this will only be the start!
I only started promoting ebay as an affiliate a few months ago and find their reporting to be quite slow in comparison with other merchants on CJ, but when they do start to trickle through they do so consistently. With the huge variety of ways you can create links to ebay it's also a great affiliate to start with.
Currently rarely a day goes past without some commission from ebay, and the blank days I put down to their late reporting ;)

I`m with CJ. I used to be with about 100 companies, but eventually narrowed it right down to just a handful.

I must admit though it isn`t my best form of income, but it`s there if anyone wants anything through one of them.

Have you tried any of the UK affiliate sites? I used CJ a few years ago, its too US centric, you get paid in USD etc etc

The thing is that my sites tend to be geared towards US users, as the products being sold can`t be shipped outside of the US. For that reason I lean towards US Affiliate sites, and I have sold some products that way.

As for payments, you can choose how you want paying. I naturally go for sterling rather than dollars.

Money is money as far as i'm concerned and it's worth chasing the dollar as there is a lot more people spending it! CJ pay into my uk bank account in £GB, whilst I get a monthly cheque from amazon in dollars which I consider to be a pain in the a$$ I'm not going to go ripping up those cheques!

Though, if you do prefer a UK affiliate site my fave is affiliate futures, though am not a fan of their new layout and inteface, I guess it will grow on me. One that I've just started playing with is Web Gains, though yet to receive a payout, it does have some great features. Same goes for affiliate window, and am thinking it's good advice to stick to a few and concentrate on particular ones. When I first joined up I was registering with each merchant and trying to promote far too many products it became a little overwhelming!

Roo, you are right about this, but I was and affiliate of a UK company that send me cheques drawn on USA bank, cost me about £12 to clear it and it takes 2 weeks or so. I know its changing now but in the days when I have to pay my bank £12 to clear a $100 dollar cheque put me off.

:friends: This is wonderful, I hope you are not making this much of money with CJ alone?

I dont use CJ hence the high payouts. more often then not most advertisers in cj have there own standalone affiliate program so every one i had signed up with at cj i simply went to there website & looked for there some sites lead me back to cj but some had there own. Doing this you cut out the middle man & just get all the payout rather then cj taking a cut of your earnings.

I have been using CJ for a few years now and have always had payments made sterling straight into our business account.

Affiliate Future is another good one, especially for travel related programs. There merchants are almost all UK and they have a good support team that actually do assist if you if you require any help in any way.
