First Mobile Journey...What went wrong?

Let our support team know your progress! The difference between a click and visit is this; a visit is when a user comes to your landing page from your banner, and a click is when he/she arrives at a main site from a banner. If you do not have a landing page, then the statistics will show the same number for clicks and visits.
Hope that helped!:)

Hi Zach,

So if i am using a lander, my clicks will be always be zero?

Lee

A click is when a user arrives at a site from your landing page. A visit is when a user arrives to your landing page from your banner, wherever it may be. If everything is set up correctly (check link in CTA button), then if a user goes from your banner -> landing page -> main site, then you should have 1 visit, and one click. If you don't have a landing page, then those numbers will still be 1 and 1. If a user goes from your banner->landing page, but doesn't continue to the main site, then you will see one visit and zero clicks.

you didn't put the appropriate link in the call to action button that's why

Ya..i got it...

I need to take the call to actions button links in the tracker and place it into LP which is hosted on the server

Will take note of it and write down such small mistakes so i am able to back track next time

Thanks guys

Another thing that i am confuse is that where do i place this postback url from zeropark?

And also after the cid, do i need to add anything from my network, tracker token or parameter etc?

Thanks

Hi guys,

This is my first campaign and hope you guys give some tips and advice.

If you can find someone I would suggest getting your LP proof read by a native english speaker. You've got a spelling error 'brake' should be 'break'. And a couple of poorly formed sentences that are a dead giveaway that this wasn't written by a native english speaker. That's one of the red flags for most people that the offer might be a bit spammy.

Hi,

Thanks for the kind advice...

All this mistakes have been recorded and will go through every time i launch a campaign..

By the way do you know where to post the post back url from the traffic source(in this case is zeropark)

Thanks

Thank you for the topic, owenlee. I am also trying to understand how to choose and run mobile campaigns and would like to add 5 more questions to specialists:
  1. I wonder are there a real mobile apps behind antivirus pin-submits?
  2. Who develops pin-submits?
  3. Who should create Landing Pages - publishers or advertisers?
  4. Is there any chance to get these offers directly or purchase special development?
  5. What does "white list" means and where should I get them?

3. Normally publishers (you and me) create their own landers to drive traffic to advert's lander. Because advert's lander is very simple and it's CR is extremely low. So you need to impress visitor on your own.
4. There is, but you need to find adverts by your own.
5. White list is a list of web-sites in the ad network which will show your banner/lander.
Black list is a list of web-sites in the ad network which will not show your banner/lander. You can eliminate them because of the bad quality traffic or any other reasons you have.

Dear vaRos,

Thank you for your reply, you've helped me a lot.

Obviously, you know how to make clear one more important thing:
Usually, I am unable to open pin-submits' correct LP because I am opening from an incorrect GEO, using different ISP carrier or WiFi connection instead of 3G.

Would you please advice any service or emulator to preview correct pin-submit LP?

If anyone else knows the solution I am very thankful in advance.

Use opera mobile emulator with Proxies. It should work fine.

From my point of view, it doesn't really matter to inspect advert's LP. I usually pick every offer from one Geo and test them all. After 1 or 2 days you will see what lenders audience in this country trust better. You don't have to rely on your opinion about LP, because you are not from these country. And, as you know, different nations have pretty different design preferences.

Everything needs to be tested.

1. Most antivirus pin-submits offer mobile contents to the subscriber (e.g wallpapers, ringtones etc.)

2. Pin-submits are created by advertisers who have to work with the telcos in the respective countries. The telcos would then provide short codes (special short telephone numbers) so subscribers could subscribe through these numbers. Advertiser would provide mobile contents to subscribers. Advertisers and telcos usually work on a revenue sharing model (e.g 60%-40%)

3. Landing pages are usually created by publishers. LPs are used to improve conversion rates. Some advertisers are able to build unique pages upon request.

4. Yes you may be able to get these offers directly from the advertisers if you have their contacts. However, some advertisers do not prefer to work with affiliates directly.

5. White list refers to a list of good publishers in a traffic source. You will be able to build a white list after spending a decent amount of money on the traffic. You identify the good pubs and put them into a list (white list) and you would then set up a new campaign to just target these "white pubs".

Hello fellow Singaporean! yeah for sure. You can sign up on our website. You do not need to own a company.

zac,

Thank you for your answers, that cleared a lot for me.
Beside that I was looking into this topic on different forums and social groups.
I have found out that another important thing affecting the conversion rate is location of a SERVER.

It has to be located as close to the running campaign's GEO as possible.

P.S.
I am going to register and check out the offers you have in WEWE.
You are welcome to Advendor too ;)

zac,

Maybe you have enough experience to clarify the difference between working with buyouts pinsubmits and rebilling pinsubmits?
