Well said! but pus traffic is form of paid traffic. Mind you though, it's good to combine both, free and paid traffic sources. Combining free social media exposure and paid traffic like push traffic, might surprise you with the results you will be seeing
Paid traffic is specific and the main thing is to know how to work with it properly.

What is your time worth? Is that free too?
Free traffic has never been the solution --"free' traffic can build loyalty traffic --but you can buy that with branding ads or awareness advertising too.
 
Not so my friend, email marketing is a great way :cool:
to reach out to new prospects. Email marketing
still generates the highest ROI.

  • there is no such thing as *free* traffic. All internet traffic is either paid for or earned by your efforts and or merits.
  • if you get organic (seo, referral or brand traffic) it can be tracked by your webserver logs and by scripts on the pages it lands on and views --if you know how ;)
  • controlled --no control over the incoming volume really. If you are large enough and well positioned in search referrals or social media there may be a median volume -- but we are talking 1000's of search or social media referrals per month to get to some median that is seen each month.
  • monetized? when you offer a good value proposition some 'traffic (read: people)' will convert and make purchases.
That being said: Most people that over-hype free traffic do so because they don't have the money to pay for traffic or pay for marketing efforts.

I am sure there are a few exceptions --but damn few ;)
