Ask Me Anything Generating conversions from Mobile Traffic

Hey man, I'm planning to run CPI campaigns (mostly games and services ie Uber), but can't decide on the traffic source. I ruled out Facebook and Google already because of farming, banning etc (have experience bonushunting casinos and got sick of that kinda ballgame) so I'm left with Ad Display and In-app networks. Which one you think is better? Can you recommend any?

Those are the 2 best traffic sources quality wise the only other alternative would be DSPs like Go2mobi and Airpush.

How to convert these antivirus type of offers CMA ?

What is the best way to convert pin submit offers?

What are the best approach to convert mobile content offers?

Thanks

1. Using a landing page that tells the user they have a virus.

2. With a landing page (you'll need to be more specific)

3. As far as I'm aware mobile content offers are PIN offers.

I think you should try CPA Network offers like CPL, Lead Gen, Pin Submit etc., not Clickbank offers.

Dude, you should absolutely try Installers or sweeps) And I am not telling you this because I represent our own affiliate network and we have such offers, but becayse if you already did 350 investment in one vertical and traffic format maybe you should switch to something else. Otherwise the industry will crush and you will keep loosing money.

Hello, After years of doing AM I learned that there is no such thing as passive income, campaigns always die because either offer dies or traffic source traffic fluctuate or quality dies.

So it's like a rat and cat games on how fast u can find a working offer with source u chose before ad spend is gone.

Spy tools, VPN, AM. Any more tips on how u find working offers and traffic sources?
Somehow I found all three methods are never 100% accurate, I failed to get campaigns working even using all of those methods together.

I see that especially with sweepstakes 1,2 click offers or pin submit it burns out quickly. One time I had a single network offers working great with a lot of geos on one traffic source so i obviously tested a lot of geos there and scaled in geo, suddenly one day all geo stopped working, as conversion rate dies down over time. but it was the case for all a lot of geos all at once. After a few years I hear another offer networking working well with that traffic source. does it go in cycles like this? one network offers work and dies another works and dies is there no network that is consistent? (more offer networks the more divided my adspend will be really hate to diverse into a lot of networks. or is that the only way to overcome this?)

I end up failing to find the next working campaign before it is all burnt out and no longer working. Is there a tip or method to overcome this?

Welcome back. Yes it is totally normal what you have been experiencing.

By the way, I am working as a software engineer right now and I didn't venture in aff marketing (paid ads that is) for some time now.

First of all, as an entrepreneur, I hope that you take every negative remark or comment for that it is. It is not meant to discourage you from trying, it should used as a way to expand your current outlook on affiliate marketing.

I was able to spot a few problems within the text that you've wrote.

1 " After a few years I hear another offer networking working well with that traffic source." When you say this, it means that you are only trying out offers occasionally? Well the first rule in any kind of competitive field is to stay in the loop. Things change so quickly, I remember when I wanted to make a comeback and try out mobile offers after only 3 months of abscence how much things have changed and I just call it quit as I was not able to commit at least 6 to 12 months to make it work due to time constraints. So rule number one is take it seriously. There is no 'hack' or trick. Be consistent and remember that everytime you quit, you'll be most likely restarting from zero.

2. Now regarding the fact that campaigns die out, I have a simple analogy for you that might help you understand why and what you should do. Remember that those you are ''selling'' to are human beings just like you and that they will eventually become accustomed to that specific ad. Especially that you say you are using tools such as adspy and so on to rip landers and ads which means that others with much bigger budgets have already inundated the market with those same ads that eventually become ineffective after a short amount of time. Be creative, and try to test as much as possible while making the tiny changes (one at a time) that might help you create a new ads that are not burnt yet. Building a relationship with your AM can help you gain a first movers advantage and get in campaigns early in the cyle.

3. When you are able to overcome the first two problems I just talked about, then comes the fact that you should be ready to scale as fast as possible. Horizontal and vertical scaling by either adding traffic sources or geos or both. Campaigns last between a few days to a couple of months, and it is essential to have money ready to be able to grow. Again you build a good relationship with your AM in order to get paid often which will help you scale your campagains quickly.

Too many people promoting the same offer (or type offers) leads to referral (user|customer) burnout and blind to that offer or its context IMO.
Spy tools are a big part of the problem too --duplication of success and its dilution (more hands in the pot).

There is no 'evergreen' really.

When I helped run established website businesses we always would be evolving and changing, removing or adding new features. All businesses that will survive do that. On a CPA level the same applies --new campaign needed.

Right now, we are in a very rough spot too --> A distinct possibility: 'Temporary' layoffs may be permanent --roll with the punches ... The problems that you cite may accelerate but with time the competition may be less --Adapt or die. Look at the bright side: you won't get 'laid off' by external forces in CPA or in your own ventures. However, buyers with ready money in hand may be harder to find.

The only way I have seen passive income is with an established customer base with a growth rate at or above the customer attrition rate (churn).

If you are dealing with a one time sale you always need new buyers --there is no real passive income opportunity. Businesses will create new offers only when there is market acceptance --right now that's an issue everyone is having.

Some industries you can get referrals from buyers. In a CPA situation this might be gathering an email list to prospect with or establishing social media activities.

People still will buy what the really need. Free or low cost digital entertainment is good. Online education/job training should be good as many people will need to find post-pandemic work --that is going to sink in. Contemporary offers also may be good but they are flash-in-the-pan (won't last long).
